2nd day of competition with honoring of the team winners
The team competition is over. The German team was able to win the world championship title among the young men. Second place went to Austria ahead of the Czech Republic. The Czech team took the title among the female players. With only 5 strokes behind the German team reached the second place. Austria secured third place. The individual winners will be determined tomorrow. It will be exciting for the female players Elena Weber from MGC Murnau is only 2 strokes behind the leader from the Czech Republic Monika Minarikova in second place. Kenny Marc Schmeckenbecher from the German team is in first place among the male players, followed by Filip Cervinka from the Czech Republic and Tobias Schwarz, also from the German team. There are only 5 strokes between first and third place. So tomorrow will be exciting.
The 1st day of the tournament
The 1st day of the tournament is over. In the nicest weather Played 2 combo rounds. Today an 18 was also played on Eternit. Elena Weber from MGC Murnau is currently in 1st place. Among the male players, Tobias Schwarz is in second place, just one stroke behind Filip Cervinka from the Czech Republic. Tomorrow is then the decision in the team classification. The male German team is currently in first place, followed by the Czech Republic. In the women's teams, the women are 3 strokes behind the Czech Republic in second place. Tomorrow will definitely be an exciting competition day.
8th August - The Bavarian television made film recordings
The Bavarian television made film recordings from the Youth World Campionships. The 3-person TV team was on site for 2.5 hours to take pictures of all things mingolf. It was even filmed with a drone. The report will be broadcast on television on Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. (ARD: Live after 9:00 a.m.) and on Wednesday between 5.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. (evening show on Bavarian television).
7th August - Opening ceremony
6th August - Players Party
The players' party, which started at 7 p.m. on Saturday, was very well received by our guests. After the joint barbecue, the competition started. 12 stations had to be completed where skill was required. Especially the beer mug lifting and the rubber boot throwing were very popular. There was a lot of cheering and laughing here. The party lasted until about 10:30 am. Pictures of the individual stations can be found above.
